Pledge of Allegiance
Legislative and Finance Committee
I have emailed it out to all of you, the proposed Vacant Property Permits issues, and Helmes has reviewed it; I am all for it.
Council will have to vote upon it.
We could have Auxiliary Police personnel work 10 hours a week basis possibly to enforce it.
(Hedger)–(“Chrissy Has A Hissy”)
I have been involved with this in the past and the procedures involving non-owner occupied structures in this city; What about this now?
We could pay someone, but not a “super” salary.
We could start with this; Then we could move into transient people.
What are the triggers here? There appears to be no…..penalites?; No…timelines?; I think we should focus on a limited number of properties; Our job is the health, safety, and infrastructure of our community and city; I want to make sure that we support “property rights;” What are the determining factors?
People that keep up their property have rights, too!
Is someone fixing it up?
You have skipped the Safety Committee; Why is that?
There is nothing to report on that.
I will have this–The Vacant Properties Permit Issue– on the agenda in January, 2018; The Blue Ash Road, Deer Park, Ohio, Project–It is now 100 per cent funded with grants; This Wednesday I will meet with ODOT for Phase 3; I have a list of streets that I believe that need to be fixed up in 2018; O’Leary Avenue–$290,000.00 (U. S. D.); Reclamite Program(s); Meeting soon at 09:30 a. m.,; 2nd meeting in January, 2018.
There are four potholes on Hegner Avenue, Deer Park, Ohio.
City Council has told me we want Economic Development; I believe and think we need to have a Mission Statement; This is a requirement to apply for many grants; The City of Blue Ash, Ohio, has a Mission Statement–Achieve; Aspire; Advance; We need only three words; In February, 2018, we shall have a guest speaker from Columbus, Ohio, whom will assess our economic vision; In March, 2018 we will have a guest speaker from New York; We are a walking community; We recently had to fix the ramp by the Road Department; I am attempting to get an Intern From The University of Cincinnati, Ohio
I would like to upgrade our penalty on the city income tax issue; Currently what we have is that the penalty and this offense is only a Minor Misdemeanor; I would like to make and upgrade it to a Misdemeanor 4; People are now just paying the fine for the citation and forgetting about paying up on their local income tax arrearages.
In my upcoming meeting with The Cincinnati, Ohio, Business Committee, I hope to be able to get approval for funding for: Phase 1–To renovate The Community Center; Phase 2–Howard School Purchase; Phase 3–Amphitheatre–Next to The Community Center.
Adjournment–(Informal)–07:40 p. m.
